USA Archery Hiring Membership Coordinator

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery is seeking a Membership Coordinator in the National Office, to fill the position that will be vacated by Christine McCartney upon her upcoming retirement. POSITION TITLE:     Membership Coordinator

REPORTS TO:          Program Manager

SUMMARY: 

The Membership Coordinator is responsible for administering USA Archery membership services. These functions include providing customer service and support to current and potential members, assisting with new membership applications and renewals, identifying ways to increase and retain USA Archery membership, and improving membership benefits   The Membership Coordinator also provides support for product sales, events and the judge program. 

Membership

  • Provides customer service and registration assistance to members
  • Processes new membership applications and renewals for individuals, families, clubs and state associations
  • Coordinates and distributes member communications including, but not limited to welcome kits, club certificates, appreciation letters, renewal notices, membership promotion and membership benefits
  • Recommends strategies for increasing membership
  • Recommends membership benefits
  • Provides monthly membership reports
  • Coordinates and issues certificates of insurance for clubs and coaches

Product Sales

  • Assists with online product orders by verifying membership eligibility 

Events

  • Receives, enters, approves and manages the postings of sanctioned events on the website and in the USA Archery membership services database
  • Provides support for national event registration
  • Coordinates judge application fees and assists with distribution of judge materials
  • Assists with the distribution of awards for USA Archery indoor and outdoor national championships 

General Duties

  • Assists with general email and phone call inquiries
  • Maintains the USA Archery membership database
  • Maintains membership files
  • Maintains historical records
  • Provides content updates for the membership for the USA Archery website
  • Revises and updates forms
  • Assists with daily mail 

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:

  • Standard Office Equipment

TRAVEL:

  • Travel Required (Minimal)

CONDITIONS:

  • Office environment in Colorado Springs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree is preferred, but not required
  • General knowledge of archery events preferred, but not required
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Required to obtain a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification within first year of employment
