USA Archery RED Program Encourages Youth to Attend Camps as Guests

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The mission of USA Archery’s Regional Elite Development (RED) Programis to develop recurve and compound athletes through the USA Archery athlete competencies in alignment with the Athlete Development Model and High-Performance Ethos. The RED Program is designed for athletes ages 13-17 who are looking to accelerate their performance with intent on making a national or international team.

The coaching staff utilizes age-appropriate training plans to further develop the athletes and to help develop the athletes’ personal coaches for long-term success. Through RED, athletes also develop teamwork, interpersonal, mental, communication and leadership skills.

There are several upcoming RED camps that have space for guests to attend and see if the program may be a good fit for them in the future. Dedicated youth archers looking to progress their performance should consider application for a regional opportunity.

• RED North Camp #2: June 18-20 (Rockford, MI)
• RED Southwest Camp #3: June 18-20 (Oranco Bowmen Archery Range – Chino, CA)
• RED South Camp #2: June 25-27 (Weatherford, TX)
• RED North Camp #3: July 23-25 (Waltonian Archers – Rockford, IA)
