CHULA VISTA, Calif. / CHENEY, Wash. – Momentum is building on the 2026 USA Archery Indoor Nationals and JOAD Indoor Nationals tour after an action-packed second weekend on the West Coast and in the Pacific Northwest, with standout performances shaking up the early-season leaderboards.
One of the weekend’s headline moments came in Chula Vista, where Camryn St Clair delivered a superb 1124 in recurve U18 women. It was the highest recurve women’s score across both California and Washington, bettered only by the totals of Laurel Anderson (1139) and Abigail Kippes (1135) from the opening weekend in Phoenix, Ariz.
Patrick Nielsen also made his mark in Chula Vista, posting 1151 in recurve men to climb into second overall, trailing only Brady Ellison’s towering 1184 from Arizona. Over in Cheney, Audrey Kil topped the recurve women’s field with 1080 in the U18 division, while U15 standout Tanirika Rajeev impressed with 1049, the third-best overall score across all recurve women categories in Washington.
Veteran archer Wesley Wilhelm was also a force in Washington, lighting up the scorecards in the recurve 70+ men’s division with 1081 – the best recurve men’s score recorded in Cheney across all age groups.
In compound men, the leaderboard remains firmly in the grip of opening-weekend stars, with Adam Stringham (1167), Tyler Heritage (1166) and Christian Clark (1163) still holding the top three positions from Phoenix. The story is similar in compound women, where the top four scores from Arizona remain untouched. Clarissa Bond’s strong 1137 in Chula Vista moved her into fifth overall, keeping the pressure on the leaders.
Barebow competition continued to heat up as Josef Dolai surged into second overall in barebow men after firing 1086 in Chula Vista, just behind Robby Weissinger’s 1092 from Phoenix. The top three in barebow women remains unchanged, led by Megan Penner, followed by Sara Gebhardt and Marisa Kisicki. In Cheney, Pamela Layng added her name to the national conversation with a 961 in barebow 70+ women, placing her fourth overall.
The JOAD Indoor Nationals also produced plenty of drama and rising stars. Khloe Markel’s 581 from Phoenix continues to set the pace in compound U18 women, while Zien Zeng - with a 568 in Chula Vista - moved into second.
Recurve U21 men saw a rare deadlock at the top, as Eric Wang and Joseph Diesta both shot 574 in Chula Vista, matching each other arrow for arrow with 38 10s and 18 9s apiece.
Sibling power added an extra spark to the weekend, with Roman and Elizaveta Kravchuk each taking over the top spot in their fixed pins divisions. Roman leads U18 men after scoring 575, while Elizaveta’s 566 puts her in front in U13 women.

There will not be a 2026 USA Archery Indoor Final, but rather prize money will be distributed based on the final combined results from all indoor nationals locations for each gender and age class by category as in the past. So, archers will still receive medals for the National Championship titles by division but then will have additional opportunity to earn prize money as well.
