A USA Archery Sanctioned Collegiate Event is a competition in which a student competes in the collegiate archery division representing their school. To participate, archers must be members of USA Archery and meet all collegiate eligibility requirements.

National Competitions


USA ARCHERY COLLEGIATE TARGET NATIONALS

USA Archery will host the Collegiate Target Nationals. This event is open only to eligible college students. The tournament format will follow World Archery rules.

Format:

  • Official Practice/Check-in/Equipment Inspection
  • 72 Arrow Qualification Round
  • Mixed Team Round and Team Rounds
  • Individual Elimination Round

U.S. National Indoor Championships

USA Archery will offer college divisions within the U.S. National Indoor Championship events.

USA Archery will also host the Collegiate Indoor Final.

  • Collegiate archers will be required to compete at one of the USA Archery National Indoor locations to qualify for the Collegiate Indoor Final
  • The Collegiate Indoor Final event will include the top 8 archers in each category from the Qualification Round from all National Indoor locations (Example: Barebow Men/Women, Bowhunter Men/Women, Compound Men/Women, Recurve Men/Women)
    • Invitations will be extended to the top 12 archers in each division, if necessary, to fill a category
    • The Indoor Final format is a single-elimination, head-to-head match-play event, using set-system scoring for Recurve and Barebow and cumulative scoring for Compound and Bowhunter
  • Collegiate National Champions will be awarded at the conclusion of all USA Archery Indoor National events; the Collegiate Indoor Final is a separate event
  • Collegiate archers will also have an opportunity to qualify and compete in the USA Archery Indoor Final event where top archers compete for prize money.

U.S. National 3D Collegiate Championships

USA Archery will work with the Archery Shooters Association to organize the U.S. National 3D Collegiate Championships.

Regional Outdoor and regional 3d Collegiate Championships

Regional competitions will be determined by each region in consultation with USA Archery.


State Archery Competitions 

The inclusion of college divisions within existing state championship will be encouraged by USA Archery.


Local Archery Competitions

Any Collegiate Archery Program may host an archery tournament as long as it is sanctioned through USA Archery.


World University Games

USA Archery is the organization responsible for selecting a team to represent the United States in the World University Games (WUG). The WUG are held every other year and are organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The event is a multi-sport competition open to eligible men and women who are between the ages of 17 and 24.
