Youth, experience, medalists, returning archers and debutants make up the USA's team for World 3D

YANKTON, S.D. – Four bow divisions consisting of 24 archers will make up the team which will represent the United States at the World Archery 3D Championships later this year following trials on Saturday.

The trials ran alongside the USA Archery 3D Nationals, which consisted of archers - in barebow, compound, longbow and traditional - shooting at 24 unmarked targets within the Gavin’s Point Archery Range, a hilly picturesque course which will also host the World Archery 3D Championships from September 28-October 3.

Among those to have qualified for the U.S. team will be Shiloh Butts, Jayme Buchanan and Julie Jones, all of whom were medalists when the event was last held, in Slovenia in 2024. Butts was part of the men’s team to take silver, while Buchanan and Jones were bronze medalists with the women’s team. Butts and Buchanan combined to claim bronze in longbow mixed team.

There will be plenty of archers with World 3D Championships experience to their name, with many having made the team for Slovenia two years ago. Team members in 2024 and again in ’26 include Joella Bates, Stephanie Correa, Michael Davenport, Cody Hasson, Jeremiah Jones, Jon Starks, Kim Timberlake and James Todd. Of that list, Bates (pictured) will be heading to her fifth World 3D Championships!

On the other end, there will also be a number of teenagers returning to Yankton. Chloe Crandall (14), Jewell Blakey, Gracelyn Sinclair (both 16), Grady Kane and Ava Jones (both 18) will be appearing at their first World 3D Championships. Crandall, Kane and Jones also qualified for the World Archery Field Championships.

And there will be a husband-and-wife pairing sporting the colors of the USA, with Julie Jones joined by husband Daniel in the traditional division.

Lancaster Archery Foundation is kindly offering a $500 stipend to those who qualified for the World Archery 3D Championships.
