USA Archery confirms addition to the 2026 calendar with the USAT Series Final

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery has unveiled the complete athlete qualification pathway and full competition schedule for the inaugural USAT (United States Archery Team) Series Final, set to debut on August 12, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri, immediately prior to the USA Archery Target Nationals and U.S. Open.

The new event strengthens competitive opportunities and provides new prize earnings for athletes. Total prize money for the USAT Series Final stands at $50,000.

Two-time Olympian Casey Kaufhold said, "I see the USAT Series Final as a great opportunity to give athletes more 'World Stage' experience. This will prepare those looking to make the World Cup Team for shooting in high pressure situations and in a finals field. I am looking forward to this addition for the 2026 season."

Athletes will qualify for the USAT Series Final by competing in the Senior divisions at the four 2026 USAT Series events:

  • Easton Foundations Gator Cup
  • Easton Foundations Salt Lake Summit
  • Easton Foundations SoCal Showdown
  • Rebel Gear Buckeye Classic

The USAT Series Final will feature eight athletes per gender in Recurve, Compound, and Barebow, who will compete in head-to-head elimination matches following World Archery rules.

James Lutz, who won the 2024 Archery World Cup Final in compound men, commented, “It is super exciting to see USA Archery try something new. As a participant at many World Cup Finals, it is one of the most high pressure and fun events of the year.

“I think a USAT Series Final is a brilliant idea, and it should excite all archers and give them all extra motivation this coming year.”

Athletes may qualify by:

  • Winning a USAT Stage (placing first in an elimination round), or
  • Accumulating the highest USAT Series Final Placement Points across events.

“The USAT Series Final creates a meaningful opportunity for athletes shooting our elite events to compete at the highest level and be recognized for their dedication and skill,” said USA Archery CEO, Rod Menzer.

“With a clear qualification pathway, exciting head-to-head matches, and prize opportunities, this event strengthens the USAT Series and highlights the depth of talent experienced at USA Archery events. We’re looking forward to a fantastic debut in Springfield in 2026.”

Prize money will be awarded to top finishers in each category:
