NIMES, France - A deep and accomplished contingent from the United States is set to compete at one of the most prestigious indoor events on the archery calendar, as 26 U.S. athletes line up for Stage 5 of the Indoor World Series, the Nimes Archery Tournament.
The American roster features a blend of defending champions, seasoned veterans and rising youth talent, highlighting the strength and depth of the U.S. program across multiple divisions. Leading the team are defending champions Brady Ellison (recurve men) and Casey Kaufhold (recurve women), both returning to Nimes after topping the podium in their respective divisions last season.
Ellison will be joined in the recurve men’s field by Christian Stoddard and Nicholas D’Amour, with D’Amour making his fourth appearance of the series after competing at three of the four previous stages.
The U.S. compound lineup is well represented by Curtis Broadnax, Sawyer Sullivan, Gaius Carter and Kyle Douglas, while 16-year-old Medina Otajagic – silver medalist at last year’s USA Archery Indoor Nationals Final – carries USA hopes in barebow women.
Otajagic is not the only young athlete set to feature, with Samantha Ensign (recurve U21 women) leading a group of four U.S. archers in the junior categories, joined by Vihaan Kale (recurve U18 men), Aavishka Pattem (recurve U18 women) and Joseph Rosal (compound U21 men).
Experience adds further strength to the U.S. presence in France. Alongside Ellison, the contingent includes Tim Gillingham, a compound men 50+ world record holder, Lynn Tesch, and Bob Park. Park was named 2024 Developmental Coach of the Year by both USA Archery and the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, while Tesch earned bronze at the 2025 Rebel Gear Buckeye Classic in compound 50+ men.
With valuable series points and international prestige on the line, the Nimes Archery Tournament once again provides a world-class stage - and the United States arrives with a roster prepared to contend across every division.
