USA Archery and US Collegiate Archery Association Announce Intent to Merge

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Archeryand the U.S. Collegiate Archery Association, Inc. (USCA) are excited to confirm that the two organizations are actively engaged in discussions to merge. Once a final agreement is in place, all schools will compete in USA Archery's Collegiate Archery Program and participating individuals will be members of USA Archery.

USA Archery's CEO Rod Menzer and USCA's Executive Director Gary Holstein shared a joint sentiment: We are pleased to merge our organizations to create a singular, dedicated organization, focused on driving collegiate archery participation to a new level. This merger will allow us to leverage our strengths and members to unite and grow collegiate archery across the nation. We could not be more excited to come together to better serve collegiate members and schools.

The goal of the merger is to provide increased archery opportunities at the collegiate level, including generating scholarships, growing the number of varsity teams and club programs, producing improved resources, support and educational materials, and much more!

A final merger agreement, when it is reached, is contingent on approval of both the USA Archery and USCA Board of Directors. However, both organizations are looking forward to reaching final arrangements and have already put membership reciprocity agreements in place until the merger is finalized.

To enrich and enhance the collegiate event opportunities as ultimate details are ironed out, USA Archery and USCA will honor membership in either organization for select events occurring prior to the finalization of the merger agreement. For USA Archery's National 3D Collegiate Championships and USCA's Indoor Nationals, any current member in good standing who has obtained collegiate eligibility in either organization will be able to register in either of these events.

This limited membership reciprocity applies only to event registration and excludes entry fees.

For questions about membership reciprocity, please contact [email protected] or [email protected].

Registration for the USA Archery Collegiate 3D National Championships, will be open for USCA member schools on Wednesday September 19, 2018.
