Try Archery!

Come try archery with certified instructors from the MD Department of Natural Resources, Isaak Walton League of America, and the National Archery in the Schools Program! Never picked up a bow before? That's ok! We provide the equipment and teach ya everything you need to know to practice archery in a safe and fun way. Already shot before? That's ok too! However, this event is designed for beginner levels so if you're already an expert, you might be a little bored. Our Try Archery! event is open to all age ranges and ability levels; minor must be accompanied by an adult, the adult may choose to participate but must be able to supervise the minor. The day will include an introduction to common archery equipment, a safety orientation, lots of time practicing on the range, and some fun competitions and games to end the day. Join us for a day of family fun and learning, all are welcome! It's August, in Maryland... It will be hot and humid. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather, the event will be held rain or shine, and bring some water and snacks with you. Light refreshments will be provided. Please plan to wear closed toed shoes to comply with our range safety protocols. See you soon!
