Level 3 NTS Coach Practical Course

The Level 3 Coach Certification Practical Course is the hands-on component of the Level 3 Coaching Program and builds directly upon the knowledge gained in the Level 3 Online Course. This in-person session provides an immersive group learning environment where candidates will refine and apply advanced coaching concepts under the mentorship of a Level 4 NTS Coach.

Throughout the course, participants will engage in applied instruction and discussion on topics including:

• Quality coaching principles and methodology
• Motor learning theory and feedback methods
• The National Training System (NTS) framework
• Mental processes in coaching and performance
• Movement analysis and performance evaluation
• Training theory and program design
• Athlete development and long-term progression
• Coaching philosophy and professional growth

Pre-Course Requirement

Upon registration, each Level 3 NTS Coach Candidate must schedule a 15 minute phone or video interview to review key course concepts and expectations. This introductory session is designed to ensure candidates are prepared for the practical component and can maximize their learning during the group sessions.

Prerequisites

• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Must currently hold a valid Level 2 Instructor Certification

Course Details

Participants will be provided the following items to demenstrate NTS form and demonstrate coaching techniques learned in this course. 

• A stretch band
• A string loop

Participants may bring a light poundage bow to demonstrate their form as well. This bow must not be more than #30. 

There will be a one hour break for lunch.
