Kaufhold and Keane headline Lancaster stop for Indoor Nationals and JOAD Indoor Nationals

LANCASTER, Pa. – Following the flurry of events last weekend, when the 57th USA Archery Indoor Nationals and 2026 JOAD Indoor Nationals hurtled past the midway stage with competition in six locations, just one this weekend with the hosts being Lancaster Archery Academy.

Catalina GNoriega sits on top of the recurve senior women’s rankings after scoring 1162 in Texas last weekend. And while GNoriega is in Mexico this weekend for the latest stage of the Indoor World Series, her leading score could be under threat from her USA teammate Casey Kaufhold.

On her home range, Olympic mixed team bronze medalist Kaufhold is one of a number of notable names stepping to the line in Lancaster. Sachiko Keane (pictured) – a back-to-back winner in the 2025 USAT Qualifier Series in compound women - could post a score to trouble the leading three in that division, Alexis Ruiz (1183), Paige Pearce (1179) and Chloe Nelsen (1178).

There is young talent in the shape of Samantha Ensign (recurve), Eli Bartron (compound) and Abigail Sparpaglione (barebow), while John Demmer III – a team gold medalist at the 2016 World Archery Field Championships in Dublin, Ireland – is also among the more than 200 archers set for Indoor Nationals in Lancaster.

Ensign and Sparpaglione are members of the Lancaster Archery Academy, which will be well represented on home turf. Others entered from the host club include Grayson Fasy, Jarvis Green, Abram Griggs, Caleb Griggs, Nikita Hvozda, Kali Miller, Savannah Miller, Taylor Miller, Aiden Morris, Nola Nyer, Alsten Schmidt, Mia Wood, Elias Zeiders and Isobel Zeiders.

Indoor Nationals stretches across Saturday and Sunday, with JOAD Indoor Nationals taking place inside the walls of the Lancaster Archery Academy on Friday.

There will not be a USA Archery Indoor Nationals Final in 2026, but rather prize money will be distributed based on the final combined results from all Indoor Nationals locations for each gender and division (bow type). Previously, prize money has been for those in the top six. For 2026, there will be prize money for the top 10.

Archers will still receive medals for the National Championship titles by division but will have additional opportunity to earn prize money as well.

New for 2026, JOAD clubs will have the opportunity to compete in the JOAD Indoor Nationals Club Team Championship. Check out the Format and Rules document for details!
