COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Athletes aged 13 to 17 who want to improve their archery skills, aim to be selected to the United States Archery Team, want to be recruited to a collegiate archery team, or dream of representing the USA at international events are encouraged to apply for the 2027 Regional Elite Program.
The program includes two self-funded regional camps per year for recurve, compound, barebow, fixed pins and para athletes. Camps provide an excellent opportunity to receive expert coaching in a fun and structured environment, train with peers and get feedback on equipment tuning and learn new training skills. Athletes are encouraged to invite their personal coaches to attend camps, so that the personal coach may further develop and learn alongside their athlete.
The program also provides quarterly virtual education sessions where athletes will be educated on a variety high performance topics to help athletes progress within the USA Archery Athlete Development Model.
Jake Strahan, who was a member of the West Regional Elite Program in 2026, added, "Everyone is super welcoming and encouraging, and I’ve made a lot of new friends. I also love getting to learn from coaches who competed at the national and world levels. They’re really good at what they do and make training fun while pushing us to get better."
To participate in the 2027 Regional Elite Program, there is an entry fee of $300 which includes the $150 program registration fee as well as a $150 deposit for the first 2027 camp. Athletes accepted to the program will receive a custom program jersey and access to sponsor benefits.
New for 2027: The South Region and Southeast Region have merged into one combined region. This change brings these two regions together under one structure, creating new opportunities for collaboration, connection and growth across the expanded region.
Please review the Regional Elite Program Guide to learn more about the program and program eligibility criteria. The 2027 Regional Elite Application Form is due December 31, 2026.
