COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Registration is now open for the 139th USA Archery Target Nationals and U.S. Open, known collectively as Outdoor Nationals, and the 2024 Olympic Games - U.S. Team Trials.

Hosted by the Greater Chester Valley Sports Complex, in Malvern, PA, from August 30-September 2, Outdoor Nationals will serve as the required event for adult (Senior, Para and 50+) archers looking to qualify for a spot on the 2024 United States Archery Team.

Additionally, the 139th USA Archery Target Nationals, which consists of two 72 arrow rounds at 70m, will serve as the Stage #1 Olympic Trials Qualification event for recurve senior archers looking to earn points towards making the 2024 Olympic Team. A separate registration and fee is required to enter the 2024 Olympic Games - U.S. Team Trials, which consists of six stages. A collectable U.S. Olympic Trials - Archery t-shirt will be available for purchase during the registration process.

This is an historic event which has produced record-breaking performances in recent times. The 136th edition, in 2020, saw James Lutz set a new world’s best in the compound men’s division. There were also world records that year for Brady Ellison and Jack Williams in the senior and U21 double 70m round.

Lutz improved on his 1422/1440 tally in last year’s Outdoor Nationals, with the current world record now sitting at 1424. Ellison has since improved on his score of 1356/1440 three times. That record now sits at 1378.

The last time this event formed part of the U.S. Team Trials for the Olympic Games was in 2019, when staged in Dublin, OH.
