U.S. National Indoor Championships Final Prize Money Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - With a huge purse of over $65,000, plus manufacturers' contingencies, the new 2018 U.S. National Indoor Championships Final will see the hottest national competition in indoor target archery. Across the country, the next five weekends will see the top youth and adult competition take on qualification rounds at the U.S. and JOAD National Indoor Championships. Then, it all comes down to the thrilling new Indoor Final - a spotlight showdown of the best of the best.

The U.S. National Indoor Championships Final will be contested in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday, March 9th. This will be the same day and venue as the official practice day for the NFAA's Indoor Nationals.

The top eight male and female archers shooting recurve and compound bows will be invited to participate, regardless of age class. All archers who compete at 18m on a 40cm target face (single or three spot, inner 10 for compound) at one of the 13 locations will be eligible for invitation to the final. 

Prize money totals over $65,000, increased by manufacturer's contingencies, and each category will pay out to all eight places according to the following amounts for each final placement:

  1. $8,000
  2. $4,000
  3. $2,000
  4. $1,000
  5. $500
  6. $400
  7. $300
  8. $200

The tournament will be single elimination with no qualification round, similar to the Archery World Cup Final. Recurve archers will use set system and compound archers will use cumulative score to determine match results. This event will be available to fans via a live stream.
