Date Change Announced for National Field Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The dates for the 2013 U.S. National Field Championships, previously scheduled for June 7 to 9, have been adjusted by one day due to a conflict with World Archery's international events schedule.

The U.S. National Field Championships are now scheduled to take place June 6 to 8 at Blaschke Exotic Deer Ranch, located west of Eagle Lake, Texas. The event will also host the World Games Team Trials for recurve and barebow archers. The date  adjustment will permit athletes who would have had an event conflict with stage two of the Archery World Cup to participate in both events.

The registration packet for this event is currently being finalized. The event will consist of one round of 24 targets shot at unmarked distances, and a single round of 24 targets shot at marked distances, on a roving course. The town of Eagle Lake, located approximately 60 miles west of Houston, is known as the "Goose Hunting Capital of the World" and also borders a wildlife preserve.
