2026 Olympic Archery in Schools State Championships in California and Florida open for registration

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Registration is now open for the 2026 Olympic Archery in Schools (OAS) State Championships, inviting middle and high schools from California and Florida to compete in one of the country’s premier youth archery programs.

The OAS program introduces students to archery in a school-based setting, combining fun, skill-building, and competition. Participants have opportunities to compete locally, at the state level and ultimately in National Championships. The program emphasizes personal growth and sportsmanship, creating an inclusive community for student-archers of all skill levels.

The California State Championship will be held on April 4, 2026, at the Easton Archery Center of Excellence in Chula Vista, while the Florida State Championship will take place on the same date at the Easton Newberry Archery Center in Newberry, Florida. Registration deadline for both events is March 28.

Both events will feature multiple divisions based on age and experience, including Program, Junior Varsity, Elite, and Varsity levels. Archers will compete in 30-arrow qualification rounds followed by individual and team elimination rounds, modeled on Olympic competition formats.

Schools must be registered OAS clubs with current USA Archery memberships in order to participate.

Competing in the OAS State Championships offers student-archers the chance to gain experience in a structured, competitive environment, develop skills and sportsmanship, and qualify for the OAS National Championships.

These events not only showcase athletic achievement but also provide opportunities for students to grow as individuals through the discipline, focus, and teamwork inherent in the sport of archery.

Schools interested in participating are encouraged to register through the official USA Archery event pages. Detailed information on program requirements, registration, rules, and coaching resources is available on the Olympic Archery in Schools website.

As a reminder, programs will need to be registered as an official OAS club with USA Archery and archers registered with USA Archery memberships prior to registration.

The 2026 State Championships promise an exciting and rewarding experience for all student-archers and their schools, celebrating skill, sportsmanship, and the growing community of young archers across California and Florida.
