Regular Participant - For archers who will NOT be participating in the 2026 JOAD Indoor Nationals - AZ event hosted on January 2nd, 2026, at Thunderbird High School, please register for the regular participant fee and 8:00 AM session on January 31, 2026. Fee is $45.00.

JOAD Indoor Nationals (AZ) Participant* - For archers who will be participating in the 2026 JOAD Indoor Nationals - AZ event hosted on January 2nd, 2026 (either 12:00 or 5:00 PM), at Thunderbird High School, please register for the JOAD Indoor Nationals (AZ) participant fee. Fee is $20.00.

*Archers who register for this option MUST already be registered for the JOAD Indoor Nationals - AZ event, or their entry will be cancelled and refunded, less processing fees.

Temporary membership is available for $20 for non-members interested in participating.

Guests are eligible to participate, but only members with Arizona as their identified state affiliation are eligible for state championship titles, state records, and awards.

Format:  Single 600 Indoor Round,  20 Ends of 3 arrows, 2 Minute Ends at 18 Meters

Recurve/Barebow 

  • U21 and U18 – 40cm target face (choice of single-spot or triangle 3-spot face), outer 10-ring scoring.
  • U15 and U13 – 60cm target face; outer 10 ring scoring.

Compound

  • All age classes - 40cm target face (choice of single-spot or triangle 3-spot face), inner 10-ring scoring.

Fixed Pins

  • All age classes - 40cm RECURVE target face (choice of single-spot or triangle 3-spot face), outer 10-ring scoring.

  

Arrow Requirements (World Archery, Book 3):

11.1.7. Arrows of any type may be used provided they comply with the common meaning of the word "arrow" as used in target archery, and do not cause undue damage to target faces or butts.

11.1.7.1. An arrow consists of a shaft with a tip (point), nocks, fletching and, if desired, cresting. The maximum diameter of arrow shafts shall not exceed 9.3mm (arrow wraps shall not be considered as part of this limitation as long they do not extend further than 22cm toward the point of the arrow when measured from the throat - nock hole where the string sits - of the nock to the end of the wrap); the tips (points) for these arrows may have a maximum diameter of 9.4mm. All arrows of every athlete shall be marked with the athlete's name or initials on the shaft. All arrows used in any end shall be identical and shall carry the same pattern and colour(s) of fletching, nocks and cresting, if any. Tracer nocks (electrically/electronically lighted arrow nocks) are not allowed.

Barebow:  Per World Archery Rules  11.4 & 11.3

Fixed Pin:  Per USA Archery Fixed Pin   U13, U15, U18, U21

 

Age Class

U13:  Through the year of their 12th birthday

U15:  Through the year of their 14th birthday

U18: Through the year of their 17th birthday

U21: Through the year of their 20th birthday

 

Dress Code:  USA Archery Dress Code will be enforced

Venue Seating:

Archers will have a dedicated seating area with chairs provided.  Only participating archers and credentialed officials will be allowed in this area.

Coaches (Level 2 and higher) will be supplied with benches to sit on just behind archers.  Please pre-register for coach credentials HERE.

Spectators will sit in a designated area behind the coaches and must bring their own chairs.

Concessions:
There will be light concessions available for all attendees. Water will be provided for registered athletes.

 

EVENT SCHEDULE

Saturday, January 31, 2026

8:00 AM Session
7:15 AM - Check-In and Equipment Inspection
8:00 AM - 3 Ends of Official Practice (no open or unofficial practice is available at this venue)
A short break is provided between ends 10 and 11.
Awards

Awards will be presented to the top 3 archers per category after all scores** have been verified.


**Scores will be combined with those archers who participated in the 2026 JOAD Indoor Nationals - AZ event on January 2, 2026, and registered to submit their scores for inclusion.


CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS POLICY

Cancellations will be accepted if received on or before January 23, 2026. Refunds will be processed, less processing fees.

Cancellations received on or after January 24, 2026, are non-refundable without extenuating circumstances.

Once the tournament has started, participants are not eligible for a refund, regardless of circumstances.
