Mill River Level 1 Instructor Practical Course

The Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Program provides graduates with the skills needed to set up and maintain a regulation USA Archery range, the skills to equip new archers and the foundation necessary for maintaining a high level of safety both on and off the range. Additionally, the student will learn about the steps of shooting, equipment repair and creating a program and lesson plans thereby gaining a solid base of knowledge for teaching beginning archery programs to prospective archers of all ages.

The course will take place from 9am to 2pm at Mill River Archery (466 S Campus Dr, Amherst, MA 01002). Be advised that there are several requirements for certification:

1) You need USA Archery Membership.

2) Participants must pass the online course before attending this practical course.

3) You need to register/pay ($100-125) for this practical course through the Mill River Archery website.

4) You need Safesport:
1. Log into your USA Archery account (https://usarchery.sport80.com/login)
2. Ensure the correct profile is opened (if you have multiple people on your account, ensure you select View on the correct membership card after logging in)
3. Select "Center for SafeSport Training" in the menu under profile (you might have to select Profile to see this dropdown menu)
4. Select Access Training

5) You need Background Screening
1. Request via this link.

6) You need a Range Pass to work with minors (Level 1 ONLY)
1. Log into your USA Archery account (https://usarchery.sport80.com/login)
2. Ensure the correct profile is opened (if you have multiple people on your account, you may need to collapse the profile that defaults to being opened)
3. Select "Training History" in the menu directly under your name
4. Click the button for Add Other Certification (right-hand side of screen)
5. Click Add next to USA Archery Range Pass
6. Complete Form and Click Add
