USA Archery announces that 2027 Collegiate Target Nationals to be held in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals are heading to southern California in 2027, with confirmation that the Easton Archery Center of Excellence in Chula Vista will welcome the event from May 13-16.

Easton Archery Center of Excellence is home to the prestigious Easton Foundations SoCal Showdown, one of the stages of the USAT Qualifier Series and among the top stops on the USA Archery circuit.

The venue also houses the top young talent as part of the Resident Athlete Program and boasts one of the world’s best archery facilities.

Texas A&M will head to Chula Vista next year as defending champions after victory over the weekend in Lansing, Mich. This will be the first time since 2022 (pictured above) that Chula Vista has hosted Collegiate Target Nationals, with University of the Cumberlands taking top spot on that occasion.

Victorious archers four years ago included Danielle Woodie of the Cumberlands. Her younger brother, Aiden, took gold on Sunday in compound college men as a freshman, and is expected to be a contender a year from now.

Kyle Coffey, who wrapped up his collegiate archery career in Lansing, was a freshman at Union Commonwealth University (then known as Union College) in 2022 and was second seed in barebow college men after qualification. His teammate, Landon Standish - who also graduated this year - was another to make his Collegiate Target Nationals debut in Chula Vista.
