USA Archery Announces State Records Platform

Colorado Springs, CO - USA Archery is pleased to announce the launch of a digital platform to view and submit records for State Championship events.

“We are happy to provide a central location for archers to view and share their accomplishments," stated Brad Fiala, USA Archery Event Development Manager. USA Archery continues to work towards increasing participation at state indoor and outdoor championship events, and this new platform will provide another avenue to keep archers engaged and allow them to visualize top scores in their state.

State Coordinator and event host for the Nevada State Outdoor Championships, Lystra Pitts, elaborated on the importance of state records: “We have been tracking our state records for years, but there hasn’t been a place for archers to direct friends and family to see their achievements. One archer, who was the only athlete in his division this year, told me that even though he didn’t have any competition at the tournament, he felt like he was still competing for something. He wanted to set a new Nevada State Record! State Records will add value to state championship events and give archers another goal and reason to compete.”

Records for 14 states have been uploaded and can be viewed on usarchery.org. The platform includes 60-arrow indoor rounds and 72-arrow outdoor rounds for Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Fixed Pins, and Para divisions. Records requests can be submitted by individual athletes through an online form. If records do not currently exist for your state or are not displayed, please reach out to your state association or contact [email protected] for more information.
