Registration Open for 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials – Archery

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – To be nominated to the 2020 U.S. Olympic Archery Team, archers must compete in the Trials as set by USA Archery and the U.S. Olympic Committee. For the Tokyo 2020 Games, there are four stages of the Trials, and participation is open to any USA Archery member who is also a citizen of the United States.

The first of these four stages will be held in conjunction with the 135th U.S. National Target Championships in Dublin, OH on August 15-16. Registration is now open.Archers wanting to participate in the Trials need to complete a separate registration for the National Target Championships and the Trials, and be registered in the Recurve Senior division.

With the Games only every four years, this is your chance to earn a spot on Team USA. Compete with the best of the best on the Road to Tokyo and see if you have what it takes! Trials participants receive a special commemorative t-shirt from the event and memories to last a lifetime.

The second of four stages will be held alongside the Texas Shootout USAT Qualifier Series Event on September 28 and September 30-October 1, 2019. Registration is also open for this event.The third stage will be a standalone event in Chula Vista, California on April 8-11, 2020, followed by the final nomination shoot with the Gator Cup, May 25-26, 2020 in Newberry, Florida.

Trials events include ranking rounds, team round simulation, head to head elimination rounds, and round robin match play. The total points accumulated from each event will determine the final rankings for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
