GWANGJU, Korea – USA is guaranteed another medal from the Hyundai World Archery Championships, with the recurve men’s team of Trenton Cowles, Brady Ellison and Christian Stoddard set to meet hosts Korea for gold.
The USA archers beat Indonesia (6-2), Spain (5-4) and Brazil (6-0) and will next meet the number one seeds.
Before that, the early stages of recurve elimination will unfold, through to the 1/16 round. In the men’s event, Stoddard faces Loc Hoang Van (VIE), Ellison meets Mihajlo Stefanovic (SRB) and Cowles tackles Santiago Arcila (COL).
Coverage of the team finals starts (Tuesday night for viewers in the USA) at 10.55pm MT on archery+(subscription required). The recurve men team gold medal match is scheduled for 12.20am MT.
