SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Registration is now open for one of the premier events on the national archery calendar as the 142nd USA Archery Target Nationals and 2026 U.S. Open prepare to return to Springfield this summer - with even more on the line in 2026.
Scheduled for August 12–15, the four-day competition will once again welcome archers from across the country to compete in outdoor target archery at the highest level. The event serves as a cornerstone of the national tournament season, featuring Senior and 50+ divisions in recurve, compound and barebow, as well as senior para archers, bringing together both elite competitors and aspiring athletes.
New for 2026, the event will also host the USA Archery USAT Series Final on Wednesday August 12, marking a significant addition to the competition schedule.
The Series Final will bring together the top-ranked archers from across the United States Archery Team (USAT) season, culminating in a high-stakes showdown to determine overall series champions, chasing prize money totaling $50,000!
Its inclusion alongside Target Nationals further elevates the event’s status, creating a truly can’t-miss week of competition.
Returning in 2026 will be the Team and Mixed Team competition. Registration details are below, alongside a link for coaches and volunteers.

Springfield continues to establish itself as a premier destination for archery events, and those traveling in will find there is far more to enjoy beyond the shooting line.
Visitors can explore the renowned Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, one of the top wildlife attractions in the country, offering immersive exhibits and encounters with thousands of animals.
