COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Program, the first step in certification for thousands of archery instructors nationwide, has been updated to include new program branding and improved course content.
While the course will still maintain its original purpose and likeness, it has been significantly enhanced, helping instructors to have a more comprehensive learning experience while taking the Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course.
New course content includes:
Student and Instructor Certification Packets now include a stretch band, USA Archery whistle, revised student exam and updated forms. These updated Level 1 Archery Certification Program student and instructor materials are now available for purchase at www.usarchery.org for $30.00.
The course will also include the new USA Archery Mobile Coach website and APP - a free phone application for iOS and Android that allows current USA Archery coaches and instructors to view premium video content by scanning QR codes featured in the course materials.
"We're very excited to offer this level of support to certified Instructors and Coaches," commented Denise Parker, USA Archery CEO. "Making visual and interactive instructional resources more readily available benefits both the coach and archer."
USA Archery, the National Field Archery Association and the Archery Shooters Association recognize instructor certification under a joint certification program and also contributed to this effort. USA Archery administers the program on behalf of these organizations.
"Level 1 Instructors serve an important role in teaching beginner archery programs to youth and adults in a variety of settings," commented Mary Emmons, USA Archery Outreach Director. "We are grateful to our partners for their help with the revisions to this program, which were made to improve the safety and quality of that experience for instructors and participants."
"Our industry takes great pride in helping develop and support archery instructors, leaders, teachers and coaches," commented Jay McAninch, ATA President and CEO. "A testament to the quality of USA Archery's certification program is the growing number of ATA retailers who are becoming certified as USA Archery Level 1 instructors. The ATA is proud to support these efforts and we look forward to seeing more archery growth as a result of this collaboration."
