USA Archery Announces 2016 Collegiate Grant Recipients

COLORADO SPRINGS - USA Archery is happy to announce the 2016 Collegiate Archery Program grant recipients. Thanks to generous contributions from Easton Foundations, USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program Clubs in good standing can apply for grant dollars for equipment, travel, and instructor and coach certifications to support club, athlete and coach development.

This year, USA Archery and the Easton Foundations were able to provide over $50,000. "The Grant was supremely helpful for our club this past year, particularly in attracting and retaining many new members and properly teaching them about archery´┐Ż and individual improvements have been astounding," commented Natalie Chew of Harvard University.

She added: "We were also able to purchase new, much-needed arrows -particularly longer arrows for our taller members- and refurbish the bows we already had with new strings, arrow rests, and sights. Additionally, purchasing new bow cases has allowed newer members to bring their equipment safely to nearby tournaments and learn about proper equipment maintenance."

Congratulations to the following Collegiate Archery Clubs who received funds:
