USA gears up to take the field in Yecheon for Archery World Cup Stage 2

YECHEON, Korea – Fresh from Olympic Trials, Easton Foundations Gator Cup and the Collegiate Target Nationals, a 16-strong USA team is in the Korean city of Yecheon for the Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage 2.

Sawyer Sullivan and Carson Krahe arrived having competed in the individual event at Collegiate Target Nationals in Statesboro, Ga. Sullivan retained the compound men’s title he won in 2023, while Krahe took silver in compound women.

Brady Ellison, Catalina GNoriega, Casey Kaufhold and Jennifer Mucino-Fernandez last week cemented their spots at the Olympic Games after navigating the Trials event held in Newberry, Fla. Jack Williams will join them in Paris should the USA secure a further two quota slots, either via the Final Qualifying Tournament prior to World Cup Stage 3 next month, or based upon team world rankings.

The recurve team is completed by Gabe Anderson, Jackson Mirich and Molly Nugent.

On the compound side, Arizona Cup and Gator Cup champion Olivia Dean – who reached her highest-ever world ranking last month of 14 – is joined by Krahe, world number four Alexis Ruiz and Cassidy Cox.

Sullivan has 2023 World Cup Finalist James Lutz for company in his international season debut since becoming a father, as well as Nick Kappers, fresh off a podium finish at Stage 1 and Kris Schaff, who finished 5th in Shanghai.
