USA Archery Seeks Nominees for JOAD and Collegiate Advisory Councils

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Archery is now seeking nominations for positions on the Collegiate Archery Program and the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Advisory Councils.

Committee members play a vital role in USA Archery’s organization and are responsible for making recommendations regarding program and event administration to USA Archery staff. This is your chance to have a voice on matters that you care about and to represent the opinions of the archery community in your region.

The South and East Region Representative seats are open for nomination on the JOAD Committee. The South, East, and Athlete (South and East) positions are open for nomination on the Collegiate Committee. 

As a Collegiate Archery Program Advisory Council Representative, you will be asked to:

  • Advise USA Archery staff and USAA Leadership on Collegiate Archery Program related issues
  • Act as a resource to, and communicate with colleges and universities as well as USA Archery State Associations within your Region
  • Coordinate and promote Collegiate Archery Program activities and events within their own region
  • Assist in the coordination of Collegiate Archery Program Regional Outdoor Tournaments

As a JOAD Advisory Council Representative, you will be asked to:

  • Advise USA Archery staff on JOAD Club and Event related issues
  • Act as a resource to, and communicate with, State Associations and State JOAD Coordinators
  • Coordinate and promote JOAD activities within their region
  • Select the USA Archery JOAD Award recipient as warranted

Once nominations are received, USA Archery will distribute nominee information to USA Archery clubs for vote in their respective regions. All nominations are due October 30th, 2020.
