USA Archery Now Accepting Applications for High Performance Programs

Colorado Springs, CO - USA Archery is now accepting applications for 2023 High Performance Programs including the Regional Elite Program, the National Elite Program U18, and the National Elite Program.

If your goals include enhancing your mental and technical archery skills for the upcoming season, to make the U18 or U21 United States Archery Team, to be recruited to or participate on a collegiate archery team, to achieve a national or world record or to represent your country in international events such as the World Championships, Olympics or Paralympics you should apply for a USA Archery High Performance Program today! High Performance Program options include:

Regional Elite Program

The Regional Elite Program is designed to develop recurve, compound, barebow and Para athletes ages 13-18 to be nationally and internationally competitive. The program includes three self-funded regional camps per year, which are 2-4 days in length. Athletes and their personal coaches must be willing to follow the guidance of the Regional Elite Program coaching staff.

New for 2023:

  • Inclusion of Barebow and Para divisions
  • The Junior Olympic Archery Develop Program Blue Achievement Pin Award will be accepted as an alternative to the Minimum Qualifying Score
  • Athletes who have not achieved the required program MQS may try to earn the MQS at the first camp to fill remaining open positions within a region.
  • A National Camp will be offered for top performers in each region.
  • The West and Southwest Regions will be combined into a single region.

National Elite Program U18

The National Elite Program is designed to provide support to recurve athletes under the age of 18 who aim to be internationally competitive. The program will consist of two camps at the Easton Archery Center of Excellence in Chula Vista, CA led by the USA Archery National Coaching staff. Athletes will be expected to train at the same level as Resident Athletes during the camps and both the athlete and their personal coach (if applicable) must be willing to follow the guidance of the USA Archery National Coaching Staff. 

National Elite Program

The National Elite Program is designed to provide support to recurve athletes ages 18+ who are currently enrolled in a collegiate archery program or pursuing a career, while continuing personal archery training to be internationally competitive. This week-long Program will be conducted at the Easton Archery Center of Excellence in Chula Vista, CA under the direction of USA Archery National Coaching Staff. Athletes will also receive a custom training plan, virtual coach support and access to online trainings to further develop athlete competencies and will be eligible to request additional self-funded user nights through the short-term training program.

To participate in 2023 USA Archery High Performance Programs, there is a registration entry fee of $150 per program, which includes a custom program jersey and access to online quarterly trainings to further development within USA Archery’s athlete competencies. For an additional $150, Regional Elite Program athletes can opt to sign up for three additional personal coaching sessions with a Coach from their region.
