COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Lincoln, Nebraska will open its arms to the best young archers next year after it was confirmed as host city for the 2026 WIAWIS USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals & JOAD U.S. Open.
Taking place at the Lincoln Sports Foundation from July 23-26, the site for the JOAD Target Nationals & JOAD U.S. Open sits on more than 100 acres and caters for indoor and outdoor events. Of those 100 acres, 60 are professionally maintained fields, which will welcome the top young barebow, compound, fixed pins and recurve archers a little over a year from now.
USA Archery CEO, Rod Menzer, said, “We’re really looking forward to it. I think people are excited to go there. It's a college town and a winning town. So, our athletes get a chance to go and see what Husker hospitality is like. And this event keeps getting bigger and bigger.”
Derek Bombeck is Director of Sports with Visit Lincoln. He said, “We're very excited to have the USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals & JOAD U.S. Open in Lincoln, Nebraska. It’s a great community right in the central part of the United States, with a lot to do.

The athletes have loved coming here, the parents really like being here. This venue is spectacular; they've been wonderful hosts, but we now head to Nebraska.
“Lincoln has quite the act to follow but they're up for the task - I know they are - and I expect a really solid turnout and a heck of a great event.”
