USA archers and leaders honored in World Archery Americas 2025 end-of-year awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – World Archery Americas has announced its 2025 end-of-year award recipients, with the United States strongly represented across athlete, coaching, education and sport development categories.

In total, USA Archery members earned 12 of the 23 awards presented, reflecting a year of competitive excellence and meaningful contributions both on and off the field of play.

Leading the way were two of the sport’s most established stars. Brady Ellison was named Recurve Men Archer of the Year following another standout season that included gold medals at the World Cup Finals, The Vegas Shoot, the World Indoor Series Finals and multiple World Cup stages, along with silver medals at the World Championships and World Cup in Madrid.

On the women’s side, Casey Kaufhold earned Recurve Women Archer of the Year honors after collecting team medals across three World Cup stages, finishing third in the World Ranking, and qualifying for the World Cup Finals as the only archer from the Americas, where she placed fourth.

USA Archery’s rising talent was also well represented. Christian Stoddard was named Recurve U21 Men Archer of the Year following podium finishes at the World Youth Championships, World Championships and multiple World Cup events.

Caleb Quiocho earned Compound U18 Men Archer of the Year honors following Mixed Team gold medal and Team Silver medal at the World Youth Championships, while Savannah O’Donohue was named Compound U18 Women Archer of the Year after sweeping individual, team and mixed team gold medals at the same event.

Fawn Girard claimed Barebow Archer of the Year recognition following medal-winning performances at the World Games and the Pan American Field Championships.

Para archery excellence was highlighted with multiple USA honorees. KJ Polish received Compound Men Para Archer of the Year, earning gold medals at the Americas Para Cup events in Morelia and Chicago, a team gold at the Para World Championships, and setting a new Americas record.

Jason Tabansky was named Men W1 Para Archer of the Year, highlighted by gold medals at the Americas Para Cup events and a silver medal at the Para World Championships.

At the youth level, Ephraim Tonn-Bourg was recognized as one of the Para Youth Archers of the Year after winning individual and mixed team gold medals at the Para Pan American Junior Games in Chile.

Beyond athlete recognition, USA Archery members were honored for their impact on the broader archery community. North Side Archery Club (Chicago) received the Event Hosting Appreciation Award for its successful organization of the Americas Para Cup stage, a National Classifiers’ seminar and a Continental Judges Course.

Phil Graves earned the Major Contribution to Sport Development Award for his leadership as Chairman of the World Archery Americas Development Committee, supporting developing federations, coordinating educational initiatives, mentoring coaches and advising on equipment development across the region.

Kyle Bissell was recognized as Coach Educator of the Year for his continued innovation in coach education, including leading the USA Archery Virtual Symposium and developing new high performance coaching pathways.

Collectively, the 2025 World Archery Americas awards underscore the depth, diversity and impact of USA Archery’s athletes, coaches, administrators and volunteers, and highlight a year marked by both international success and sustained investment in the growth of the sport throughout the Americas.
