FOLEY, Ala. – We are just a month away from the HotelPlanner USA Archery Collegiate 3D Nationals, which take place October 15-17 at the Graham Creek Nature Reserve and Foley Event Center, and held in partnership with the Archery Shooters Association (ASA).
The registration deadline is October 9.

University of the Cumberlands will travel with their largest team from the last four years, with 49 archers representing the Kentucky school. Head coach, Kris Strebeck, led the Cumberlands to the Collegiate 3D Nationals overall title seven years in a row until the University of Rio Grande ended that outstanding run last year.
Coach Strebeck has a number of new additions to his team, including Suraj Nalam, a gold medalist and two-time silver medalist in this year’s USAT Qualifier Series, as well as being part of the compound U18 men’s team to win silver at the 2025 World Archery Youth Championships.
Another joining the Cumberlands ranks this year is Sydnie Wells, the barebow U21 women’s champion from the 2026 Rebel Gear Buckeye Classic.
Keegan Benton is among the Lindsey Wilson University team. Benton took barebow men gold at the 2026 HotelPlanner USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals. He won mixed team gold alongside Anastacia Godman, who will also be in Foley.
Rio Grande is expected to return to defend its crown, for what will be just their third appearance at Collegiate 3D Nationals. Their archery program began in early 2024. They finished fourth in Foley that year before taking top honors 12 months ago, winning by more than 30 points. University of the Cumberlands took silver last year, with Texas A&M claiming third.
A record 481 archers took part in 2025, helped with the addition of three new schools - Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Missouri Valley College Archery in Marshall and PRCC (Pearl River Community College) in Poplarville, Mississippi.
First held in 2017, this year’s event will be the 10th edition, and involves barebow, compound, fixed pins and recurve. There will be two rounds of individual competition at the Graham Creek Nature Reserve, one on Thursday afternoon and the second on Friday morning.
The Individual Class Shoot-Down is scheduled for the Friday afternoon. Saturday morning brings the Official Team Rounds, before archers head indoors to the Foley Event Center on Saturday evening for the Mixed Equipment Team Rounds.
