Positions open on the USA Archery Collegiate, JOAD, Judge and Coach Advisory Councils

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery is seeking nominations for positions on the Collegiate, Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Judge, and Coach Advisory Councils.

Council members play a vital role and are responsible for making recommendations regarding programs and events to USA Archery staff. This is your chance to have a voice and present feedback from the archery communities regionally.

Collegiate Advisory Council

Nominations are open for one South Representative, one East Representative, and one Athlete Representative (from South or East) on the Collegiate Advisory Council.

As a Collegiate Archery Program Advisory Council Representative, you will be asked to:

  • Advise USA Archery staff on Collegiate Archery Program related initiatives
  • Act as a resource to, and communicate with, colleges and universities within your region
  • Help to promote Collegiate Archery Program activities and events regionally

COLLEGIATE NOMINATION FORM

JOAD Advisory Council

Nominations are open for one South Representative, one East Representative, and one Athlete Representative (from South or East) on the JOAD Advisory Council.

As a JOAD Advisory Council Representative, you will be asked to:

  • Advise USA Archery staff on youth club and event related initiatives
  • Act as a resource to, and communicate with, clubs, state associations and state JOAD coordinators within your region
  • Review USA Archery JOAD Award nominations as warranted

JOAD NOMINATION FORM

Coach Advisory Council

Nominations are open for one South Representative, one East Representative, and one Athlete Representative (from South or East) on the Coach Advisory Council.

As a Coach Advisory Council Representative, you will be asked to:

  • Make recommendations to USA Archery on the USA Archery instructor and coach certification programs, continuing education, and opportunities and challenges in the coaching community. 

COACH NOMINATION FORM

Judge Advisory Council

Nominations are open for one North Representative, one South Representative, and one Athlete Representative (from North or South) on the Judge Advisory Council.

The Judge Advisory Council members make recommendations to USA Archery regarding judge related matters. As a Judge Advisory Council Representative, you will be asked to:

  • Advise USA Archery staff on Judge Certification programs. Act as a resource to, and communicate with judges within your Region
  • Attend virtual and phone meetings quarterly and as needed
  • Provide suggestions for the judge newsletter
  • Review rule updates and case studies and provide clarification and guidance to USA Archery judges
  • Provide recommendations to USA Archery for rule interpretation submissions to World Archery as needed

JUDGE NOMINATION FORM

Once nominations are received, USA Archery will distribute nominee information to USA Archery clubs for vote in their respective regions. All nominations are due November 1, 2026.
