COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Archery is excited to continue our Strategic Alliance with Positive Athlete for the 2026/27 nomination season and our shared commitment to recognizing young people whose impact transcends sport.
Positive Athlete is a free national recognition and development program for high school-age student-athletes in grades 9–12. The program celebrates athletes who demonstrate character, leadership, resilience and service - whether they are giving back to their communities, overcoming difficult circumstances, lifting up teammates or simply inspiring the people around them.
But recognition is only the beginning. Nominees become eligible for scholarships and other recognition opportunities and receive free lifetime access to the Positive Athlete program and platform, connecting them with leadership and character development, career exploration, resume-building resources and other opportunities that prepare them for success beyond competition.
The program continues to grow nationally. During the 2025/26 nomination season, Positive Athlete reached all 50 states, 6,035 high schools and 15,675 nominees and provided more than $200,000 in scholarships.
We want to make sure deserving student-athletes from the USA Archery community are represented.
Any adult age 18+ can nominate. Nominations are free, take approximately five minutes, and there is no limit to how many deserving student-athletes you can recognize.
The 2026/27 nominations open September 15 and remain open through mid-April.
