USA Archery Congratulates 2016 Q4 Virtual Tournament Participants

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - USA Archery 4th Quarter Virtual Tournament participating clubs banded together across the country to do good in their local communities in the "Archery Gives Back" club spirit competition.  Clubs were encouraged to collect canned food items and contribute them to their local food or donation banks.

USA Archery was thrilled to see the highest club spirit participation of 2016 and would like to thank each and every club who collected donation items and made a difference in their local communities over the holiday season. Congratulations to No Limits Sharp Shooter JOAD Club in Denver, CO for collecting the largest quantity of donation items through their Q4 event.

Teresa Perrego of No Limits shared: "We are always looking for ways to get involved with the community and to donate our time as a club, so when I saw this on USA Archery's website, I thought this was a great opportunity during the holidays and the kids were enthusiastic. One club night we had some of the archers decorate a donation bin - it started on a table, and grew to under the table and boxes around it. It was really cool how it grew to this big thing."

No Limits hosted several tournaments in addition to the Virtual Tournament and culminated the year with a holiday party and people donated cans throughout the month of December at all of the shop's events. Perrego added: "We had a few archers get together and drove to the local food bank and the guys taking our donations were like 'oh my goodness!' because we had a whole truck full of food and the kids were so proud because they had fun and it was a good thing they were doing."

Over 440 archers participated in this quarter's Virtual Tournament wrapping up the 2016 season with continued high interest. The complete results from the event can be viewed here.

The highest scoring archer in each age class and division was entered into a drawing to win an Easton Quiver. Congratulations to Jayden Petrie, Male Yeoman Recurve, for being chosen!

Get your archers warmed for JOAD Indoor Nationals with the Q1 virtual tournament! This quarter's event opens on January 15th and will run through March 31st.
