Archery Scholarship Fund Created in Memory of Emma Hojnacki

Last March, the world lost a beautiful light as 4-year-old Emma Hojnacki passed in a tragic accident on a trip to Disney World. Like her mother, Jennifer, Emma had a passion for horses and she shared her father, Michael Hojnacki's bright smile and love of archery. Michael has been a longstanding member of USA Archery, a strong competitor and serves as President of the Texas State Archery Association.

In Emma's memory, the Brazos County Archery Club has created a scholarship opportunity for archers seeking advanced education to apply for $500 from the Emma Hojnacki Scholarship Fund.

The club shared: "Emma Hojnacki was a young lady who had a never-ending smile and enthusiasm for life. Her contagious smile and love for everything outdoors including archery was remarkable to all who saw her. While she was just getting started in archery, she left a lasting impression."

Applicants interested in attending a technical school, junior college, or university can find more information at BrazosCountyArchery.com. Applications are due February 15, 2018 and winners will be notified March 15, 2018.
