USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Course

The Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course includes the Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course and provides students with an introduction to the National Training System (NTS) Steps of Shooting for recurve and compound, equipment and accessory setup, athlete developement and events as well as qualifies students to teach the Level 1 Archery Instructor Certification Course. Graduates of the Level 2 Archery Instructor Certification Course are well prepared to serve as the lead instructor for long-term archery programs such as Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD), Adult Archery Program and Collegiate Archery Program clubs, as well as the Explore Archery Program.

To complete a level 2 course with us, because you will be able to teach the level 1 course upon completion, as your coaches, we want to ensure your success, so either coming to complete your level 1 course with us and teaching at least 6 classes with us, or providing proof of your level 1 course completion and a resume of your prior teaching experience will be beneficial to us to help you provide the most competent and fulfilling program possible for your school, camp or facility.

Before taking this course, you will also need to complete a Background Screening (https://www.teamusa.org/usa-archery/about-usa-archery/usa-archery-background-screening) + SafeSport (www.teamusa.org/USA-Archery/Archers/SafeSport) + become a USA Archery member (https://www.teamusa.org/usa-archery/membership).  Please plan to bring with you proof of your completion of SafeSport and your member ID number.

Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion

Course Length: 12-16 hours (Dependent on class size)
