Cub Run Archers (ARL-FX IWLA) Summer Shootout

Welcome to the 2026 Cub Run Archers (ARL-FX IWLA) Summer Shootout!

Cub Run Archers of Arlington-Fairfax Izaak Walton League of America will host the Cub Run Archers (ARL-FX IWLA) Summer Shootout on June 27, 2026.

This is a one-day, 72-arrow round (12 shooting ends of six arrows each end) with two practice ends at the beginning of each shooting session. 

There will be TWO shooting sessions to choose from (please select one session depending on your bow division):

·         Saturday, 6/27, at 8:00am (equipment inspections begin at 7:15am) (RECURVE & BAREBOW ALL AGES)     

·         Saturday, 6/27, at 1:00pm (equipment inspections begin at 12:15pm) (COMPOUND & FIXED PINS ALL AGES) 

Your target distance is determined by your Bow Division and Age Category

*A “Barebow” by definition is a Recurve bow without a sight or other accessories.

*The “Fixed Pins” division applies to the U13 through U21 age classes only. Compound archers in the Senior and 50+ divisions will shoot in the “Compound” division.

*All Compound and Fixed Pins archers will shoot on their own individual target face using the 80-centimeter multicolor 6-ring target face that scores out to the 5-ring.

As soon as equipment inspections are completed we will hold two practice ends followed by a 72-arrow ranking round. 

Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes early to set up equipment and complete check-in and equipment inspection before we begin the tournament.

We will hold an awards ceremony shortly after the final shooting session ends. If you win an award and cannot be present to receive it, please make arrangements to pick it up or have another person receive on your behalf.

All registrations must be completed online. There will be no onsite registration. 

Early Bird Registration Fee: $50 until June 19, 2026

Late Registration Fee: $75 from 6/19/26 until 6/24/2026

Last Day to Book: June 24, 2026 at 9:00am ET 

If you need to cancel your registration, you may receive a full refund minus transaction fees if we receive your cancellation e-mail no later than June 21, 2026. If you cancel after June 21, we cannot provide a refund. 

The Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP) will be in effect for the duration of this tournament.

Coaches and spectators will remain behind the marked Spectator Line at all times when the tournament is in session.

Archers are welcome to bring lawn chairs and canopies to set up in the archers' area as space allows.
