Event Date and Location | May 17, 2026 Conejo Valley Archers - Justin Huish Tournament Range, 5100 Bennett Rd, Simi Valley, CA 93063 Event is a roving event to be shot on CVA property, including Field range and open areas on 3D Targets. |
Divisions | Olympic Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Traditional, and Longbow |
Age Classes | U13, U15, U18, U21 and Senior |
Rounds – Unmarked 3D animal | Two sets of stakes will exist on each target, 1 at acceptable distances for sighted divisions and 1 for unsighted divisions. Tournament will consist of 24 targets, 2 arrows per target, and USA Archery 11/10/8/5 scoring. Shooting groups will be defined by tournament organizers with priority being placed on shooting with your peers. All groups with archers under 15 must be accompanied by a coach or USA Archery Safe Sport Chaperone. |

Sunday 5/17/26 6am Gate Opens 7am Check-In and Equipment Inspection 8am Shooter’s Meeting and Archers proceed to Target Assignments 8:30am Shoot Begins (Times may vary due to participant level and other unexpected delays) | Archers should shoot the field in a progressing order of targets and should not skip or jump and targets. If a group is constantly feeling pushed, they may allow the group behind them to “shoot-through” without skipping any targets. Archers will receive their starting target on their scorecards to facilitate a shotgun start. |
Awards | Following completion of the round, scorecards are collected and tallied. Awards ceremony following shooting and scorecard submission/ tally. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, in all divisions shall be awarded only to California USA Archery participants. No mailing of awards, no guest awards Scorecards must be turned in by 2:30PM |
Rules | USA Archery Dress Code and World Archery rules will apply. Equipment Inspection Sunday morning for all registered competitors prior to shooting. |
Snack Bar | No snack bar is available, and water stations are available on the range. |
Coaches / Parents | NO COACHES/PARENTS SHALL BE ALLOWED IN THE ATHLETE AREA (THIS INCLUDES PRACTICE) NO EXCEPTIONS. |
Spectators | Seating and chairs are NOT provided. Please bring your own seating, shade, food and water. Archers will be roving the field for shooting, but need to provide their own seating for other times. |
Target Assignments | Target Assignments shall be on scorecards and delivered during equipment inspection. |

Health Protocols | The event shall follow all California Health guidelines and Ventura County Health guidelines. The archers/spectators shall choose to wear masks. The host WILL NOT provide masks. |
Upon Arrival | Check-in and Equipment Inspection lines will be available, scorecards with target assignments will be handed out accordingly |
Internet Access | There is no WIFI or Internet connectivity. Some cellular carriers have signal at the range, AT&T is usually the most stable. Please plan accordingly |
MAAPP | Competitors and event personnel at a USA Archery- sanctioned event must adhere to the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP) for the duration of the event. |
