2026 USA Archery Arkansas State Outdoor Championship

The USA Archery Arkansas State Outdoor Target Championship marks the second-ever statewide competition of it's kind for archers in Arkansas, showcasing the skill and precision of archers from The Natural State. This event offers a unique opportunity for archers of all levels to compete in a professionally sanctioned outdoor target archery tournament, promoting the sport of archery across the state of Arkansas.

Event Overview:

This championship will feature individual competitions in various bow divisions, including recurve, compound, and barebow, and will follow the official USA Archery rules and guidelines. Participants will compete in a series of outdoor target rounds, testing their accuracy, consistency, and mental focus. 

Key Highlights:

• Divisions: Compound, Fix Pin, Barebow, Recurve and Basic Compound (limited)
• Classes: Yeoman, U13, U15, U18, U21, Senior, Masters 50+ (see guidebook for details)
• Target Distances: Archers will compete at varying distances based on their division, ranging from shorter distances for youth categories to long distances for senior and master divisions. See page 13 of the Event Guidebook. 
• Basic Compound: U13 & Yeoman will be at 15M; U18 will be at 30M 

Event Structure:

• Practice Sessions: The Prior day, Friday, June 12th, archers will have access to practice at the ranges to fine-tune their skills and familiarize themselves with the range from 9am to 7pm, with exclusive access from 2 to 7pm. On the day of, there will be two practice ends prior to the start of scoring.
• Equipment Inspection Times
  • All equipment must be inspected by a Judge prior to the competition, and may be spot inspected at any time by a Judge during the competition
  • Official Practice Inspection time: Friday, June 12th 5pm-7pm
  • Event Inspections: 45mins prior to flight time, day of event (7:15-8:00am)
  • Please be in compliance with World Archery Equipment Guidelines

• Check in: Check in will begin at 7:15am
• Opening Ceremony: 8am
• Qualification Round: Archers will participate in a 72 arrow qualification rounds (12 ends of 6 arrows)
  • Allow approximately 4 hour to complete the round
  • Fights starts shooting at 8:30am
  • Barebow, Basic Compound & Recurve shoot Saturday
  • Compound & Fix Pin shoot Sunday
  • If registration exceeds expectations:
    • A second flight may be added, starting at 2pm on Saturday
  • Awards will follow the same day as shooting

• 12:30-1:30 Lunch
• 1:30 Award Ceremony for Barebow & Recurve
• 2-4pm Exclusive Practice & Equipment Checks (unless a second flight is added)

Sunday, June 14th – Day 2 – Compound

• 6:15am Staff & Judges arrive
• 7:15am Check-in & Equipment Checks
• 8am Opening Ceremonies
• 8:30-12:30 – Compound 72arrow Qualification round
• 12:30-1:30 Lunch
• 1:30 Award Ceremony for Compound

Registration and Fees:

Registration for the championship will open several months in advance, with registration available on the USA Archery website. 

All Participants MUST be USA Archery Members. Note that Recreational membership doesn't NOT give access to state competitions.

Spectators are $5 cash at the door or pre-registered here. No refunds will be given. Quiver Range members will receive a code for one free spectator after June 1st.

Awards and Recognition:

• Medals: Awards will be presented to the top three archers in each category
• Guest Categories will also receive Medals for the top three archers in each category.
• State Records: Arkansas Participants will be eligible for Arkansas State Records
