Lancaster Archery Academy Spring Forward

We are excited to have you compete with us! Please read the following details carefully so that you are fully prepared for our event. Thank you!

Striving for that gold medal, top three finish, or personal best is what tournament play is all about, and we cannot wait to see you on the field. The Lancaster Archery Academy is holding our Eleventh Annual Spring Forward Star FITA tournament on Saturday, May 16. You can register online here. All archers will be required to have a current USA Archery Membership. WA/USA Archery Rules and Dress Code will be in effect.

The Spring Forward will consist solely of one 72-arrow competition round. Elimination rounds will only be held during our Summer Sizzle tournament (July 11-12). Your competition time for the Spring Forward will be determined by your division. Compound and Fixed Pin archers will shoot at 8:00AM. Recurve and Barebow archers will shoot at 1:00PM.

If there is inclement weather that results in either the delay or cancellation of one or both qualifier lines, these lines may be rescheduled to Sunday, May 17. Academy staff will be in contact with event participants should this occur.

The tournament will be held at the Lancaster Archery Academy's Archery Park, which is located off the rear parking lot of the Lancaster Archery Supply Pro Shop, 2195-A Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Competition Round Times:

• Compound and Fixed Pin - Saturday, May 16, 2026: 8:00AM 
• Recurve and Barebow - Saturday, May 16, 2026: 1:00PM

Registration Fees: 

• $40.00 per archer
• Late fee of an additional $10.00 begins May 6, 2026

• Yeoman Recurve - 20m, 122cm target
• Bowman (U13) Recurve - 30m, 122cm target
• Cub (U15) Recurve - 40m, 122cm target
• Cadet (U18), Masters Recurve - 60m, 122cm target
• Junior (U21), Senior, and Collegiate Recurve - 70m, 122cm target

• Yeoman Barebow - 20m, 122cm target
• Bowman (U13) and Cub (U15) Barebow - 30m, 122cm target
• Cadet (U18), Junior (U21), Senior, Masters, and Collegiate Barebow - 50m, 122cm target

• Yeoman Compound/Fixed Pin - 20m, 80cm target
• Bowman (U13) Compound/Fixed Pin - 30m, 80cm target
• Cub (U15) Compound/Fixed Pin - 40m, 80cm target
• Cadet (U18), Junior (U21), Senior, Masters, Collegiate Compound/Fixed Pin - 50m, 80cm target

Important Details

• Availability is first come, first serve. Pre-registration is needed. No walk-ins the day of event
• Registration deadline is May 13, 2026
• Equipment inspection begins 30-45 minutes prior to your selected shooting time: **Please note WA/USA Archery Equipment Rules: 23/64" or 9.3mm max arrow diameter, etc.
• All archers will shoot either an 80cm 6-ring target or a 122cm target, depending on their division
• Tournament is a FITA Outdoor 720 Round (72 arrows) registered as a STAR FITA with USAA for World/USA Record Qualification
• No unofficial practice is available
• Awards immediately follow the conclusion of each competition round on Saturday
• Concessions will be available onsite, proceeds benefiting the Lancaster JOAD Team
• We will be following all current and updated World Archery and USA Archery format & rules
