Lancaster Archery Gingerbread Star FITA

Striving for that gold medal, top three finish, or personal best is what tournament play is all about, and we cannot wait to see you at the range with us. The Lancaster Archery Academy is holding our second annual Gingerbread Star FITA tournament on December 8, 9, and 10. You can register online above by clicking the red 'Reserve' button. All shooters will be required to have a current USA Archery Membership. WA/USA Archery Rules and Dress Code will be in effect.

Once all qualification rounds are complete, we will combine age classes and genders into three larger divisions: Recurve, Compound, and Barebow. The top 8 finishers in each of these combined divisions based on qualification score will be eligible to shoot head-to-head elimination matches for prize money. Archers may sign up for whichever qualifier line they would like, and should they make it to the Top 8 in a combined division, be able to return Sunday, December 10 at 4:30PM for elimination matchplay. All archers will shoot qualifiers and eliminations at 18M with the exception of Yeoman, who will shoot at 9M. Recurve and Barebow matches will follow the Set System. Compound matches will be based on total score. Due to differences in equipment, while bowhunter (fixed pin) archers will be ineligible to compete in elimination matches, they will still be eligible to compete in qualifications, and may receive a trophy for their placement in that round.

The tournament will be held on the Academy main range, which is located below the Lancaster Archery Supply Pro Shop, 2195-A Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Qualification Shooting Times:

• Friday, December 8, 4:00PM
• Saturday, December 9, 9:00AM
• Saturday, December 9, 12:30PM
• Saturday, December 9, 4:00PM
• Sunday, December 10, 9:00AM
• Sunday, December 10, 12:30 PM

Elimination Shooting Times:

• Top 8 in combined divisions: Recurve, Barebow, Compound
• Sunday, December 10, 2023: 4:30PM

Registration Fees: 

• $50.00 per archer
• Late fee of an additional $10.00 begins November 29, 2023
• Registration closes Wednesday, December 6

Prize Money, Elimination Rounds:

• 1st Place - $750
• 2nd Place - $375
• 3rd Place - $150
• 4th Place - $75

Divisions/Distances:

• Masters, Senior, Collegiate, Junior, Cadet, Cub, and Bowman - 18m, 40cm target
• Yeoman - 9m, 40cm target

Note: Recurve and barebow archers will use outer ten scoring. Compound archers will use inner ten scoring

Important Details

• Availability is first come, first serve. Pre-registration is needed. No walk-ins the day of event
• Registration deadline is December 6, 2023
• Equipment inspection begins 30-45 minutes prior to your selected shooting time: **Please note WA/USA Archery Equipment Rules: 23/64" or 9.3mm max arrow diameter, etc.
• Rcherz electronic registration, scoring, and results for family and friends
• All archers will choose during registration whether to shoot a 40cm vertical three spot, or a 40cm single-spot target face
• Tournament is a FITA Indoor 600 18M Round (60 arrows) registered as a STAR FITA with USAA for World/USA Record Qualification
• No unofficial practice is available
• Qualification Awards to follow at the conclusion of the 12:30PM qualifier line on Sunday
• Elimination Awards to immediately follow conclusion of medal matches Sunday afternoon
• We will be following all current and updated World Archery and USA Archery format & rules
