L-2 Practical-Ovalle

L-2 Practical Course for coach candidates-Course Fee must be paid prior to course participation.

Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Must successfully have completed and passed the Level 2 Instructor certification online course, via the USA Archery Education Hub.

Course Objectives: The Practical is an "in-person" course, whereby candidates will apply the knowledge learned in the online course of instruction, through hands-on skills development. Students will practice and demonstrate the physical aspects in the practical application of Archery.

Specific Topics: Range Safety and Set up, Basic steps of shooting, knowledge of outfitting equipment, and basic repair, Positions of observation, guidance in teaching archery programs, create basic lesson plans, Instruct and demonstrate the National Training System (NTS) in both the recurve and compound bow. Additionally with time permitting candidates will be introduced to the 8 Software Steps of the NTS.  

Dependent upon the candidates' experience, the course duration will be 4 to 6 hours. Candidates will be evaluated throughout the duration of the course and awarded certification of achievement upon meeting the required standards.
