Level 1 Instructor Practical Course

This course is offered at no cost to active members of the Lake Tahoe Archers Club. Non-members are welcome to join the club prior to registration to participate.

This is the in-person practical portion of the USA Archery Level 1 Instructor Certification course. Participants must complete the online Level 1 Instructor course prior to attending this session.

This practical course provides hands-on instruction in archery safety, range setup, equipment basics, and introductory shooting form based on the National Training System (NTS).

Participants will learn how to safely and effectively teach beginner archery programs in recreational settings such as clubs, camps, and community programs.

Topics include:

• Range safety and setup

• Equipment selection and use

• Steps of shooting (NTS basics)

• Teaching and coaching fundamentals

• Managing groups and maintaining a safe shooting environment

Upon successful completion of the practical course, participants will be eligible for USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification.
