The Level 3 Coach Certification Courses focuses on developing coaches who are capable of utilizing evidence based coaching and teaching methods, understand the finer details and concepts of the National Training System for both recurve and Compound, and provide organized and effective training programs. Level 3 Coach Certification for complete details

Students in the Level 3 Coach Certification Courses will be introduced to quality coaching, motor learning theory, coaching methods, feedback methods, the National Training System for Compound and Recurve, the mental process, movement analysis, training theory and design, athlete development, coaching philosophy, and coach development. 

Course Length:  In person practical course - approximately 16 hours (Dependent on class size)

Class Size:  Minimum 4.  Maximum 16

Course Cost: $300 payable by cash, Paypal, CC  Payment due day of class. No Checks. 

Location: Goochland Central High School and Educational Center

Times:  Saturday 9AM - 4 PM EST.   Sunday 10:00 AM - 5 PM EST.

Certification Period: Three years from the date of course completion

Prerequisites

• Minimum age is 19
• Must hold a current Level 2 Instructor certification
• Must have successfully completed the Level 3 on-line certification
• Membership to USA Archery
• USA Archery Background Screening
• Center for SafeSport Training

All prerequisites must be completed before class day or your Certification will not be valid. Make sure you do your background check ahead of time so it comes back before the class date. Can take up to 7 days.

This class offers high level coaching techniques presented by a Level 4 Coach.

Class will be interactive and you will role play different scenarios and techniques within a group. We encourage questions and participation.

We will take approximately 1 hour lunch break each day, you may bring snacks or lunch or have time to drive to a local fast food restaurant. You do not have to bring a bow but can if you wish. Shooting will not be the main focus of this class but rather Coaching Skills, Mental Skills and Techniques to bring out the best in your archers.  You will be practicing and demonstrating the skills you learned in the online portion of this certification process.

At the end of the class participants who pass the class will earn the official title of "Coach"
