GSHPA: Archery Level 1 at Camp Small Valley

Completion of this instructor training allows an adult volunteer to lead girls in archery at any of the four GSHPA properties. Please note that lunch will not be included in the course fee, so please bring your own.

The minimum age for this training is 15 years old. Certification is valid for three years from the date of course completion. A minimum of 6 people are needed in order to run this course with a maximum of 12.

You will need to complete the online portion of the training through USA Archery before registering and attending this practical session. The online training is self-paced and can take between 3-4 hrs to complete, depending on your past experience. This practical session will cost 10 dollars through GSHPA. Use the link to in the first paragraph to register and pay.

  - Setting up an archery range and demonstrating safety procedures

  - Outfitting an Archery Class with Equipment

  - Teach the Steps of Shooting

  - Practice teaching your first archery class

  - Utilizing Coaching Techniques
