USA Archery Updates Dates for 2019 Gator Cup and Introduces New Dress Code Policy

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - Following an update in the World Archery calendar, which moved a World Cup event to the originally proposed weekend for the 2019 Easton Foundations' Gator Cup, USA Archery's Board of Directors has voted to move the Gator Cup to May 31-June 2, 2019. The event will still be held at the Easton Newberry Sports Complex.

Additionally, the USA Archery Board of Directors approved a new dress code policy that will be in effect for all USA Archery Sanctioned Events, effective immediately.

The USA Archery Dress Code applies to the following individuals when in front of the Spectator Line at USA Archery Sanctioned Events: athletes, coaches, managers, credentialed media, team officials, tournament officials, and archer agents. The Dress Code is in effect for Official Practice and all competition dates.

Changes to the dress code uphold the main ideology that athletes should present a professional, athletic appearance while on the field. Major changes include requiring sleeves on all shirts, changing shorts length from fingertip to mid-thigh, and allowing denim and leggings, provided they fit specific criteria.

The World Archery dress code has not changed. For all World Archery Americas Events, World Cups, World Championships, World Ranking Events, etc. the World Archery dress code will be in effect. The USA Archery Dress Code applies only to USA Archery Sanctioned Events.
