Sisters Alina and Odessa Cornick among those hitting new heights at the JOAD Target Nationals

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The scores came in during the 2025 WIAWIS USA Archery JOAD Target Nationals but they have now been verified, with five archers setting eight national records.

Siblings Odessa and Alina Cornick shared three national bests between them in fixed pins, while both Benjamin Corey (fixed pins U18 men) and Nathan Schoeneberg (barebow U15 men) left New Mexico with two national records apiece. The recurve U15 women’s single round record now belongs to Grace Joung.

Corey said, “My expectations coming in were just to shoot my average but then I broke the single round national record and then the double, so that was way above my expectation and I’m feeling great.”

The scores posted by Corey were 680 (single round) and 1,348 (double round). Alina (fixed pins U15 women) shot 684 and 1,340. Schoeneberg scored 666 and 1,310. Odessa’s score over two rounds was 1,295, with Joung’s single round total being 687.
