LAUSANNE, Switzerland – Recurve women’s world number three, Casey Kaufhold, is among seven USA archers and more than 300 in total set to feature in the first event of the 2026 Indoor Archery World Series, the Swiss Open, this weekend.
Indeed, Kaufhold heads to Europe as defending Indoor World Series champion in her division (pictured above). She improved from 2024, when finishing runner-up in the Series.
Others from the USA joining her in Lausanne include Gaius Carter, Nicholas D’Amour, Christian De Lavalette, Jose Drapeau, Andrew Querol and Eleanor Rodriguez.
D’Amour arrives in Switzerland having taken gold earlier this month at the 2025 Pan American Field Archery Championships in Mexico, when he defeated world number two Marcus D’Almeida in recurve men.
Carter had his best finish in an Indoor World Series event at last year’s Swiss Open, taking seventh overall in compound men. He lost his quarterfinal match to current world number two and World Champion, Nicolas Girard (FRA), by one point.
Rodriguez was part of the successful University of Rio Grande at the HotelPlanner USA Archery Collegiate 3D Nationals. She, like all the others, has previous experience of the Indoor World Series which boasts an expanded seven events across seven countries.
