ASUNCION, Paraguay – USA’s archers head home from the second Junior Pan Am Games with two team silver and two individual bronze medals.
All four medals were won on the final day of competition, in which Kaylee Gurney and Zack Neilson combined for compound mixed team silver before each earned individual bronze.
Gurney took bronze with a 142-141 win over Isabella Sepulveda Mejia (COL), while Neilson made the podium with a 144-131 triumph over Esteban Tillit Gutierrez (GUA).
The recurve division was not about to miss out, with Emma Kim and Jack Krengel taking silver in recurve mixed team.
All four archers will form part of the USA team traveling to Winnipeg, Canada next week for the World Archery Youth Championships (August 17-24).
Prior to that, Emma Kim will be in Springfield, MO for the 141st USA Archery Target Nationals & U.S. Open, which start on Thursday with official practice.
