Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s support USA Archery clubs grow 3D programs across the country

COLORADO SPRING, Colo. - Across the country, archery clubs are bringing the excitement of 3D archery to life thanks to the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund, which awarded a 2025 grant in support of USA Archery’s 3D club and state event development initiative.

Designed to expand access and opportunity, the grant is already making a meaningful impact - helping clubs enhance their programming, attract new participants, and grow the sport at the grassroots level.

The following clubs were awarded the 3D target grant in 2025:

  • The Quiver (Arkansas)
  • Archery School of the Rockies (Colorado)
  • Anderson Archery (Kentucky)
  • Conejo Valley Archery (California)
  • East River High School (Florida)
  • Cincinnati Junior Olympians (Ohio)
  • Straight N Arrow (West Virginia)
  • Southeastern Illinois College (Illinois)

With the goal of expanding 3D archery opportunities nationwide, the initiative has already proven its value. Among the USA Archery clubs receiving a pre-set mix of Delta McKenzie 3D targets was East River High School in Orlando, Florida - a program that is seeing immediate benefits both on and off the range.

Head Coach and Club Administrator Peter McCormick shared his appreciation for the support, saying, “East River HS Archery Club is grateful to USA Archery and Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s for its generous grant of 3D targets for our club.”

Traditionally an Olympic recurve-focused program, East River has embraced the addition of 3D archery with enthusiasm.

“Since acquiring the targets, we have recruited four compound archers,” McCormick explained. “Being located in a rural area in east Orlando and having a robust agriculture department at our school, we believe these targets will help grow the sport while serving the youth of our community.”

The impact extends beyond participation numbers. East River High School serves a student population in which all students receive free and reduced lunch, making access to equipment and experiences especially meaningful.

“This grant will provide archery opportunities for our community that many of our students would never have been able to experience otherwise,” McCormick said. “We look forward to learning, competing, and eventually hosting local and state 3D events with these targets.”

He added, “I am personally excited about the change in environment that the 3D targets help create - ultimately diversifying our club’s archery experiences and attracting new members.”

The Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity, with customers encouraged to round up their purchases at the register and online, directly supporting conservation efforts throughout North America. Its work focuses on connecting new audiences to the outdoors, conserving wildlife and habitat, and advocating for sportsmen and women across the country.
